SHEFFIELD UNITED vs LIVERPOOL (1230 ko) Sheffield rested most of their first team for the midweek cup game against Sunderland. They lost, thereby giving up an early opportunity for a revenge encounter with the mighty Irons. It’s hard to see that even a well-rested first team will get anything from today’s game against the league leaders. They’re just too strong. Away win.
ASTON VILLA vs BURNLEY A battle of the other claret and blues. A tough one, this. Villa are gagging for points, while Burnley will be satisfied with their start to the season. Home advantage may be key, but you fancy Burnley not to leave empty handed. Draw.
BOURNEMOUTH vs WEST HAM UNITED The Cherries are far from a soft touch. They’ve made a terrific start to the campaign and will be keen to maintain the momentum. We can be pleased, midweek notwithstanding, with our defensive qualities of late and that will again be crucial today. With two highly attack-minded sides, this could be the most entertaining game of the afternoon. Before kick-off, most fans would probably take a point. But we can and should do better. Away win.
CHELSEA vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION Here’s an opportunity for FLJ to show what he can do as boss. Anything but a comprehensive win may start to loosen those Chelsea tongues that have so far been held down by super glue. Should be straightforward. Home win.
CRYSTAL PALACE vs NORWICH CITY Norwich have been unlucky with injuries, but showed again Man City what their reserves are capable of. The beaked one will be moderately content with his team’s early season return, but will have to be on top of their game to contain the East Anglian marauders. Draw.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs SOUTHAMPTON Just a point separates the two teams in the table and the Saints come into this on a massive high after beating rivals Pompey during the week. The same can’t be said for Spurs, who limped out of the EFL Cup at Colchester. Southampton will be boosted further by the knowledge that all is not right with their hosts and will look to capitalise on any lack of confidence in their hosts. An early goal could be pivotal. Home win.
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs WATFORD The bottom two meet in what could turn out to be a genuine six-pointer. How will Senor Sanchez Flores reinvigorate his side after conceding eight goals? Brave is the man, or woman, who puts more than a penny on the outcome of this. Draw.
EVERTON vs MANCHESTER CITY (1730 ko) The wise heads said that Everton would challenge the supremacy of the top four this year. They come into this on the back of defeats against Bournemouth and Sheffield Utd: hardly top four or even top half form. The hopelessly blind blues of Merseyside may predict great things today. Everyone else knows that this is a slam dunk away win.

Seen that kit before. I think it's their women's second kit, and their bloke's third.
I've never liked yellow as part of a kit
